Pizza Feta Basil

A nice alternative to the usual Pizza Pie =) A lot of my friends have enjoyed this, it is fairly quick and easy to prepare, so I figured it was worthy of sharing! Preparation time approx. 30-40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite empty pie crust – I like either DiGornio (prefer) or Trader Joes (for the price)
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Feta Cheese
  • Basil
  • Pizza Sauce (Trader Joe’s)
  • a Dash of Salt
  • a Dash of Oregano
  • Olive Oil (for pizza crust edges)

Steps

Preheat Oven to 420 degrees

  1. Pre-Heat Oven to 420 Degrees.
  2. Use 1 teaspoons of Olive Oil and brush on edge of crust.
  3. For Trader Joe’s crust I use about 2 Tablespoons of Pizza Sauce and spread evenly with the back of a spoon.
  4. Sprinkle evenly dash of Salt and Oregano (1/4 teaspoon of each).
  5. 1 Cup of Mozzarella Cheese
  6. 10-20 Basil Leafs (I actually ran out in the picture above)
  7. 1/3 Cup of Feta Cheese
  8. Place in oven for 10 Minutes when 420 Degrees is reached
    Soft Crust = 10 Minutes
    Slightly Crispy = 12 Minutes
    Crispy = 14+ Minutes

Takes about 5-10 minutes of prep time + Cook time.

I hope you enjoy it – always love to hear new spins and ideas (if you care to share!) Thanks! =)
