This is one of my favorite all time bacon recipes – quite simple, takes a little less than an hour, and you will need a raised wire “baking rack” !
Ingredients
- 1 Package (approx) of your favorite thin sliced bacon
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar
Steps
Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees.
1. Place a sheet of tinfoil into base of baking sheet and slightly lip up each of the four corners. This will help contain fat that will drip while baking the bacon and make clean up a bit easier.
2. Insert the raised wire baking rack in the baking sheet on top of the tinfoil and start placing bacon (about 2/3 of package for large baking sheet) across the wire rack covering most of the baking surface area.
3. Sprinkle brown sugar (sifters work great!) or use a teaspoon and slightly bump the side to help distribute evenly. Season with red pepper (for more spice!), and black pepper across bacon to your taste preference.

4. Insert into the oven when temperature has reached 350 degrees, set a timer about 20-25 minutes (initial check). I find it is typically done anywhere from 30 minutes (chewy) – to 40 minutes (browned and crunchy) – I like 35 minutes myself!

When done you could share 🙂 , but I understand if you do not! 😉
NOTE: Try using this bacon for my BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza recipe!
