Ingredients
4 Tbsp. Butter
⅓ cup Celery chopped
⅓ cup Green onions chopped
1 ½ cup of Heavy whipping cream
2 cups Whole milk
3 Tbsp. Flour
1 Tbsp. Tomato paste
8 oz. Cooked shrimp cut into pieces
8 oz. Crab meat
1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat on the stove.
- Add the celery, green onions saute until beginning to soften.
- Stir in the flour, and saute for another minute.
- Heat the milk in the microwave until warm, pour into the saucepan. Whisk to combine completely until all lumps are gone.
- Whisk in heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring to a low simmer, and continue to cook until the bisque thickens.
- Stir in the shrimp and crab meat, and cook until heated through.
- Serve topped with fresh parsley for garnish.
